Tajikistan – Persian sense of the monumental

At the crossroads of Central Asia, many civilisations have moulded Tajikistan.

Persian empires of the Sasanians, Achaemenian and Samanids particularly shaped Tajikistan’s language, art and architecture. In Dushanbe, every monument displays this dazzling Persian sense of the monumental. On the Silk Roads, long-gone civilisations keep living.
